The trail...

This short trail starts at a farm house at the foot of the mountain in picture 1. After descending to a stream, the trail ascends directly up the slope of the mountain. No contour paths or zig-zags... Plates of magnificent flowers accompany you to the top (we were there 28 December). Return by the same route.

1. The mountain of 'giants' as seen from the camp site at Thompson's dam. The trail ascends towards the two giants on the right hand side of the mountain.

2. Dozens of rock pinnacles are visible in the 'amphitheatre of giants'.

3. Thompson dam is visible to the right of these rocks.

4. Millions of wild flowers are visible on the mountain slopes during December.
