The trail...

The grade of difficulty depends on the option selected. One can follow the 2000m contour path for 35 km to the Cathedral Peak hotel or 27 km to Monk's Cowl. The route starts from the parking area at the top of Mike's Pass. It passes by the old forrestry huts and shortly afterwards joins the contour path. Follow the contour path either west towards Cathedral Peak or east towards Monk's Cowl as far as you wish and return by the same route.
